Collaboration
Public services
that share resources and expertise can achieve compelling results. How
can this fit with organisational accountability and targets?

Joined up public
services
The
collaboration credit model is an online trading tool, public services
and third sector organisations earn points by contributing resources to
another organisation. These points can then be exchanged for resources
from another organisation. For example a local Authority provides an
accountant for a week to help a local charity, the small local charity
runs a kids arts project at the local hospital and the local hospital
provides a change manager to support the Local
Authority.
The collaboration credit model is being developed in collaboration with
Public Service Management Wales (PSMW) of the Welsh Assembly Government
and with initial investment from the University of Wales, Newport. |
